Time for another post.
This one's about toast.
Butter side down,
just falls to the ground.
That's not why I like toast.
The reason I like toast,
either plain toast or milquetoast,
is the crunch that it makes
and the buttery taste.
That's the reason I like toast.
If you asked your Aunt Fran,
"Do you eat Jelly or Jam?"
I bet you a nickel
she'd be quite in a pickle
Without toast.
From the east coast to west coast
They think it's the utmost.
With tuna or spam,
eggs or canned ham,
pot roast or lamb,
peanut butter and jam.
In heaven and earth, our Lord knows the worth.
Of the crunchy, munchy, yum-tummy, never gummy, better-than-plain-ol'-bread TOAST.
